GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) announced today it has leased one Airbus A320 to the flag carrier airline of Macau, Air Macau.

 

(Stamford, Connecticut, July 2, 2007) "We are very pleased to have leased our first aircraft with Air Macau, one of the fastest-growing airlines in Asia," said Norman C.T. Liu, Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations for GECAS.

“GECAS is one of the largest and most respected aviation leasing companies in the world, we are happy to work with them, and receive the A320 aircraft which will help us in meeting our regions’ increasing demand for efficient air travel.  ” said David Fei, CEO Air Macau.

As its next marketing and fleet growth plan designed to meet the rising demand by the emerging casino industry, Air Macau is scheduled to launch a new passenger service to Osaka, Japan this summer.   They also plan to add wide body passenger aircraft to its existing narrow body fleet in the future.
