GECAS Forms Joint Venture with Airport Cargo Facility Development Firm

AUSTIN, Texas – February 15, 2007 -- GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS), the aviation-financing unit of GE Infrastructure, has formed a joint venture with Lynxs Holdings, LLC.

The new joint venture company will be known as Lynxs Group, LLC and will develop, finance and manage new air cargo facilities.

“GE is making this investment in Lynxs to build its position in the air cargo facilities sector as rising global trade drives the demand for modern and efficient air cargo facilities at airports worldwide,” said Marcus Balmforth, Senior Vice President and Airport Infrastructure Enterprise Leader at GE. “GE already is a global leader in aircraft finance and leases more than 100 freighters to air cargo operators around the world. This is a step toward the expansion of our airport infrastructure business, targeting air cargo facilities at airports worldwide.”

GE and Lynxs Holdings, LLC, each have a 50% interest in the joint venture, with options for GE to increase its ownership over a five-year period. Lynxs is expanding its global presence with plans for a new office in China in the near future.
